Stuff we need… and want

Take a look at the list of things I put together that would be awesome for us to have as we start out on this venture.  The price is lower than the cost of most startups but it’s still a chore to get everything without a business loan.  I guess we will see what happens.

What’s a favicon??? Well look up at your browser.  Do you see a blue circle with a W in the middle of it?  Well there you go… that’s a favicon.  Learn more here.

Once we get a logo I guess our next step is making it look good in an itty bitty little package.

I got tired of looking at a blank page.  I put up a sample layout for the page while we try and develop a Logo, Layout… for this website.  Let me know if any of you have any logo concepts that we can make our own, it would be nice to get a few on the table that we could all vote on the best one together.  Remember this is what people will recognize us by going forward :)

Just thinking of names to call the business.  I asked Seth at least a half dozen times now what his idea was for a name and I kept forgetting.  So here it is… finally!

Upadte: I think we have decided on a variation of the original name.  What does everyone think of TerBoGraf-X?

This is the first step in the journey to doing something that we can all be proud of.  Please feel free to utilize this as a central collaboration tool in this process so we can all openly share our ideas and progress in the process of making this business go.

Personal Goals

So as we go through this process I am reading a lot of stuff on how to start your own business.  A lot of this stuff is coming from the book, “Start Your Own Business” by Rieva Lesonsky.  As I blog ideas and my own personal goals on this blog I will include some of the questions that are listed throughout this book.

The following is a list of questions looking for your personal goals and what you want out of this business.  reply in the comment section below with your answers to these questions if you get some time.

1. What is the most important reason for pursuing this business?

2. What do you think you will like best about this venture?

3. Within 5 years where do you want this company to be?

4. When you look back over the first 5 years how do you want to feel?

5. What is your financial condition as of today is?

6.  What is the next thing you feel you need to do in this process?

7. The most important part of this business is (or will be)?

8. The area of business you really excel in is?

Now like a lot of these books these questions may seem a little contrived or even cheesey but the idea is to get you to say outloud what you already know about yourself and what you want but it also builds a foundation for what we are trying to build.  If you have time answer the questions so that we can all see where we are at with our goals.
